Reef safe
Achilles tangs tend to get a bad rap as being difficult to keep because people underestimate the importance of keeping them in high flow...it does sound weird for a fish to have flow requirements, but it's true. In the wild, they hang out where the waves break and surge on the reefs. We've had really good luck quarantining these guys in 40g MINIMUM tanks with powerheads and lots of PVC tubes to hide in, they probably wouldn't survive the stress of being kept in a smaller quarantine tank. Make sure your achilles gets lots of seaweed to maintain a healthy immune system and to help cut down on aggression.
