Chocolate chip starfish are NOT reef safe. They'll eat coral and small fish and inverts as they grow. They do best in large fish only systems with a sandbed for them to hunt in. Most people tend to buy these guys as harlequin shrimp food as they can survive for a long time while satiating the appetite of the shrimp.
