Nerite Snail (Nerita sp.)

Nerite snails are small but mighty. These little algae munchers can get into spaces that your larger snails can't fit in. They do a really good job of cleaning the glass, but they may climb out of rimless tanks. Nerites store lots of water in their shells, so if you find one on the floor put it back in the aquarium, chances are it's still alive!
